With the follow-ups conducted by the National Postal Company, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) has issued the International Postal Processing Center Code Identifier (IMPC) for Payam International Airport.
According to IDEA, Following the efforts made by the National Postal Company, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) has issued the International Postal Processing Center Code Identifier (IRPYKA) for Payam International Airport. This action is taken within the framework of establishing the specialized customs of Fava and the development of the air fleet in the Payam Special Economic Zone, facilitating the transit of postal items. this report indicates that, given the expansion of foreign exchanges in the Payam Special Economic Zone and the necessity of sending and receiving postal items according to international standards, and further activating Payam Airport as a regional postal hub, this important step has been taken.
The code identifier issued by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) for Payam International Airport with the abbreviation IRPYKA applies to incoming, outgoing, and transit postal shipments, as well as all postal services such as letters, parcels, express mail, and empty bags. By allocating this code to Payam Airport, the possibility of sending, receiving, and transiting international postal items in accordance with UPU standards is provided.
International Postal Processing Centers, identified by the abbreviation IMPC, are introduced among selected postal operators of member countries of the Universal Postal Union. These centers are located at the entry and exit borders of countries, including airports, ports, and common borders between two countries, facilitating the processing and operational processes of international postal items. Each unique identifier has a fully defined physical location managed by an organization or its representative, and the process of receiving, sending, and transiting documents and goods through these centers between selected operators is considered ‘postal items’ and is subject to non-commercial behavior.
According to the National Postal Company, all postal bags sent by one selected postal operator to another must have the identifier code on the tags of the postal bags to enable the international exchange of shipments as ‘postal items’ in the country of origin and destination by the competent authorities, including customs.
