According to Faramarzi, if there is a synergy between the resident countries in the Middle East, it is definitely good for the pillars of this area
According to the IDEA, Vice President NSR of Tehran, considered the proposal of the Chamber of Commerce a good and admirable idea on paper, but the embargo is one of the obstacles on the way of the countries that are involved in it; A problem that prevents the import of modern knowledge and technology to countries.
“Shahab Javanmardi”, the CEO of Fanap Company, at the Iran Technology Day event which was held with the support of this company at GITEX 2023 exhibition, introduced the plan to form a specialized regional union called “Middle East Digital Cooperation Union” and from the efforts of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, as The strong pavilion of the private sector announced the formation of this alliance and strategic cooperation between the joint chambers of the countries of the region.
After proposing this idea, a number of experts in the field of digital economy, while considering this idea as useful, considered that its realization requires the government’s efforts to help the private sector and remove sanctions.
According to the head of the Computer Trade Union Organization, the proposal of the Digital Cooperation Union by the Chamber of Commerce is a good idea, but there are always obstacles in this path, such as sanctions issues. Of course, he believes that the internal problems of the country in the field of technology entry are a more serious problem and it is better for the government to think about removing these obstacles.
“Sadegh Faramarzi”, vice president of NSR Tehran, stated that in the age of digital revolution, our country is in a hole, he explained: “What we see in international exhibitions is Iran and digital businesses moving further away from is the world This issue was raised more seriously in the recent GITEX; Especially when the Arab governments have connected themselves to the digital economy and had an active presence in the exhibition; It means that the exhibition did not have only a Byzantine aspect.
According to Faramarezi, the exhibition is a place to attract Iran’s experts and elites, which means their continuous loss; If an idea can turn these losses into synergy, it is a good idea.
Vice President of Tehran NSR believes that the proposal of the Chamber of Commerce is a good and admirable idea on paper. But to what extent this is possible is debatable.
He continued: “I hope our friends in the Chamber of Commerce have thought about it, because obstacles such as sanctions are among the serious obstacles in the stages after the signing of the agreement; The growth of transactions, which leads to the growth of domestic businesses, depends on a series of international facilities, which sanctions will prevent.”
“We are exporting knowledge and scientists”
Faramarzi also explained about the government’s role in realizing this idea: “This proposal was proposed by the Chamber of Commerce as the economic pillar of the private sector. The chamber clearly has a structured relationship with the government and it is natural that this association exists; In fact, political confrontations are an issue that can be problematic.
Specifically, if the chamber wants to advance something for the benefit of domestic businesses as a private sector institution, it is natural that it does not need money. As a result, it is natural that he is supported by the government.”
In response to the question whether such a union has an effect on exports or not? He explained: “What we have now is only the export of knowledge. We are exporting knowledge along with its owners. Of course, it is better to use the word loss instead of the word export; Because there is an import for export.
If such a union is going to be formed, I hope it can cause prosperity. It is natural that in any organization, when the members think of a single goal, the proliferation of knowledge is one of the most important parts.
According to Faramarzi, embargo is not just the non-entry of goods. One of the most important issues that the countries involved in the embargo are struggling with is that the countries are deprived of modern knowledge. This incident makes work and exchange difficult. Naturally, it would be helpful if an alliance could find a shortcut for sanctions.
