Thirty-three percent of Websites Have Enamad

According to IDEA, the latest e-commerce report reveals that The total units of e-commerce websites have been evaluated, reaching approximately 470,000 websites. Out of this number, only 140,990 websites hold Enamad certification, and around 16,457 websites have gray Enamad. Consequently, the active Enamads have seen a growth of 17% compared to the previous year, and the total number of Enamads has also increased by 11%. Additionally, this report reveals that about 33% of all active e-commerce websites possess Enamad certification, indicating that a significant portion of the e-commerce market is operating without this certification. The report further illustrates that 45% of active stores with Enamad are located in Tehran, while active stores in major cities such as Isfahan, Shiraz, and Mashhad have Enamad certifications at only 8%, 5%, and 7% respectively. It seems that despite its mandatory nature, Enamad certification is concentrated mainly in the capital city of the country.

Still, a significant portion of e-commerce websites lack Enamad certification

The largest area of activity among e-commerce units with Enamad certification, accounting for 20%, belongs to specialized online stores for wearable items, and personal and household necessities. Moreover, 13% is attributed to specialized online stores for equipment and machinery, 8% to IT services, 7% to specialized online stores for chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and hygiene products, and 6% to specialized online stores for agricultural, construction, and industrial supplies. The remaining 46% encompasses various other domains.

Regarding the areas of activity for e-commerce units with Enamad, 65% relates to product sales, while 33% is associated with service-related sales. Out of the business owners with Enamad certification, 84% are male, and 16% are female. Among these individuals, 44% fall within the age group of 30 to 40 years.

In the e-commerce infrastructure index, the mobile penetration rate has been evaluated at 175%, indicating a 5% growth in this index. The number of social media users stands at 48 million, with a penetration rate of 54%. According to this report, the number of internet users has reached 116 million, reflecting a 9% growth. The total count of issued electronic signature certificates in this report amounts to 4.3 million, and in the year 2022 (1401), 1.9 million electronic signature certificates have also been issued.
