The central bank has announced that the purchase transaction limit of natural persons, which was equal to 100 million tomans before, has now doubled and increased to 200 million tomans.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, the public relations of the Central Bank has announced in a news that the threshold of authorized card withdrawal for genuine customers will increase up to 2 billion Rials (200 million Tomans) daily and 10 billion Rials (one billion Tomans) monthly.
In this circular issued on the 4th of Ordibehesht, it is emphasized that the control of this limit for each card is the responsibility of the bank issuing the payment card.
Among the other things that are emphasized in this circular is the provision of documents to prove the transaction, contract or the reason for the transfer of money, which used to be required daily for amounts above 2 billion rials, now for amounts above 4 billion rials or 400 million tomans will be necessary and it is not needed for amounts less than this amount.
Of course, to transfer amounts between 200 and 400 million tomans, it is necessary to complete the “For” section in the relevant forms, and in electronic or face-to-face intra-bank and inter-bank transfers related to non-commercial accounts of natural persons, although there is no need to provide documents, the reason for the transfer is must be determined.
