By publishing a statement, Tapsi announced the removal of the “I’m in a hurry” option
According to Iran digital economy annotation, following the summoning of the CEO of Tapsi by the State Penalty Organization and the order of this organization, the company has announced in its statement that it will remove the “I’m in a hurry” option from users. In the continuation of this statement, this internet taxi company has explained the details and clarified the mind of the users.
Explaining the “I’m in a hurry” option, Tapsi stated that this option was added to Tapsi services with the aim of providing service to users whose priority is not the cost of travel, but the acceptance of travel. It is also an option for people who want to increase their chances of being accepted by the ambassadors and spend less time waiting for their application to be accepted by increasing the price.
According to Tapsi, before the addition of the “I’m in a hurry” option, users on social networks had suggested Tapsi to add an option to offer a higher price to the drivers. Also, with the aim of providing diverse services, besides the “I’m in a hurry” option, Tapsi has also added the “I’m not in a hurry” option to its services for users who want to pay a lower price for longer waiting time. According to Tapsi, this option was well received shortly after its unveiling.
The following is the statement:
“Different travel options in Tapsi, including ‘I’m in a hurry’, are displayed to Tapsi ambassadors with the same design; Therefore, when accepting requests, ambassadors do not know that the user has selected the “I’m in a hurry” option. In this regard, Tapsi has made every effort to prevent possible abuses of this option.
Only 10% of all Tapsi trips are related to the “I’m in a hurry” option. “Normal” trips make up 70% and “I’m not in a hurry” trips make up 20% of Tapsi’s fleet trips. The significant distance of the normal option compared to other services, as well as the acceptance of the “I’m not in a hurry” option, is proof of Tapsi’s approach to providing diverse services, taking into account the different needs of users.
There is a misconception that the increase in travel prices has increased the income of online taxis and an option like “I’m in a hurry” has been added to the program with the aim of increasing income. It is important to note that what increases the income of online taxis is the increase in the number of trips, not the price increase; Because the price increase reduces the attractiveness of the trip for the traveler user and reduces the number of trips. The aim of online taxis is to provide a balanced price in a way that is economical for both the passenger and the driver and makes the trip.”
According to Tapsi, this company will continue its efforts to explain the logic governing this service to the regulatory bodies at the same time as the “I’m in a hurry” option is disabled. Also, Tapsi has expressed hope that the end result will be the access of users to the best services in the field of intra-city transportation.
