The new record that ‘Okala’ has set in February has broken the previous Snapp record
Okala marketing manager believes that the new record of this platform has moved the online grocery sales industry and recorded the highest sales among other similar platforms. “Snapp” reacted in this case and said that it is not possible for Snapp to verify the authenticity of this claim of Okala.
According to Iran digital economy annotation; “Snapp” and “Okala”, two competitors in the field of retail sales, have recently entered the competition in the process of recording the highest sales invoice of the day. Snapp, which started working in 2013, was almost without competitors before Okala entered this market, until then it managed to eliminate all competitors from the field. But the new statistics of “Okala” show that the situation has changed and now a serious competitor for “Snapp” has come to the online market.
Mehdi Etemadi, Okala’s senior director of growth and marketing, said about the new record set by the company: Okala managed to register 127,400 invoices in the last discount campaign that was held on the second, third and fourth days of March, and the record was 109,000. Broke the competitor factor.
“Snapp” said about this claim of Okala to the attachment: “There is no way for us to check the authenticity of this claim of “Okala” and we cannot comment on this matter.
While pointing to the 30% growth of Okala’s invoices in the last month, Okala’s chief growth and marketing manager said: Okala’s breaking the “online grocery” industry record was one of the most important achievements of the recent campaign.
Mehdi Etemadi attributed this success to the effective cooperation of the suppliers and said: In addition to increasing 10 times, the online sales of the suppliers who participated in the campaign surpassed their in-person sales, and this has doubled the interest of brands for future partnerships.
Etemadi considers the interest of suppliers to participate in Okala’s future discount campaigns as another achievement of this record breaking. The new record setting by Okala follows a change in the cycle of in-platform discounts based on increased supplier participation.
