3rd Annual National E-commerce Day Fosters Transparency Amidst Intense Sector Competition
According to IDEA, The event marked the third annual “National E-commerce Day” and aimed to enhance transparency in Iran’s e-commerce sector, which is crucial for investment distribution. However, with 180,000 e-commerce businesses, no single entity holds a significant market share, leading to fierce competition.
Promoting E-commerce Sector Unity
Amin Kalahdouzan discussed the need for government entities’ unity and the E-commerce Development Center’s future plans during a specialized panel at the National E-commerce Day event.
He emphasized the importance of consolidating efforts within the digital business sector, pointing out the limitations of the existing Virtual Business Union. He called for the inclusion of at least 50,000 businesses to strengthen this union.
Kalahdouzan highlighted the challenge of the absence of a unified union with substantial membership, emphasizing the potential for government intervention until this matter is resolved. He encouraged businesses to join the union, which is free from government control and has the legal capacity to address sector-specific issues.
To further foster collaboration, the E-commerce Development Center plans to hold multiple annual meetings and organize a specialized exhibition attended by government officials.
