Maskan bank customers can use DigiPay credit up to 50 million tomans

Active customers of Maskan Bank can use Digipay’s BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) credit up to 50 million tomans by signing an agreement between this bank and DigiPay

According to the IDEA, based on the one-year memorandum signed between DigiPay and Maskan Bank at the 10th Electronic Banking and Payment Systems Conference, active customers of Maskan Bank can use the credit received from DigiPay in the form of BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) in one or four days.

Hooman Amini, CEO of DigiPay, said: We are at the beginning of this road and we have started our cooperation with a one-year contract. In the first stage, 100,000 customers of Maskan Bank can use DigiPay credit up to 50 million tomans.

Amini further explained: One of the methods that DigiPay has considered for providing BNPL service is the secured method, which also guarantees credit repayment. In this method, the credit rating of people in DigiPay should be measured, and this rating is evaluated from the behavior of each person in the DigiKala ecosystem and DigiPay and other DigiKala service providers, or it should be guaranteed through an institution or a person. Now Bank Maskan has taken over the guarantee of its customers.

According to Amini, the credit is provided by DigiPay, and in fact, Maskan Bank is not the credit provider, but in the end, Maskan Bank is on the side of DigiPay.

Seyed Abbas Hosseini, CEO of Maskan Bank, explained: We are a bank with more than 80 years of experience, and our focus is not only on buying housing for users, and we are trying to enter other areas as well, because the development potential in Maskan Bank is very high.

He further explained: Currently, the credit limit is 50 million tomans, which will be paid in one to four installments without interest, and the prepayment is 25%. In fact, we want to use the facilitating role of DigiPay to facilitate the affairs of our customers.

Hamid Mohammadi, CEO of Digikala, explained: We hope that this cooperation agreement will provide the possibility of opening new capacities for both sides of the agreement and its users.

Mohammadi further added: Bank Maskan customers can use their credit in all portals connected to DigiPay and their purchases are not limited to buying goods from DigiKala. The fields of travel, medicine, digital goods, tourism, home appliances and all the acceptors listed on the DigiPay website are included in this credit.
