The Ministry of Communications has expressed hope that with this launch, the way for the rapid development of Iran’s indigenous space industry will be made smoother.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Communications, the latest altitude record was recorded in the satellite launch. For the first time, the “Soraya” satellite has been placed in an orbit of 750 km from the earth with the new generation of the “Qaem 100” satellite carrier.
Qaem 100 is also a solid fuel satellite carrier with the ability to carry objects under 100 kg to an orbit of 500 km. In its third test launch, setting a new record in local launches, it successfully launched the Soraya satellite with a mass of about 50 kg into an orbit of 750 km. Contract.
Based on the data received from the satellite, the Ministry of Communications announced that the injection operation in the orbit was done well and accurately, and now the telemetry data of the satellite is being received:
“With the launch of this research satellite, many subsystems developed by Iran’s Space Research Institute will also be placed in orbital test conditions, and the way for the rapid development of Iran’s domestic space industry will become smoother. In addition, this launch is considered an important step in the direction of increasing the capability of injecting satellites into higher orbits.”
“As ‘Eisa Zarepour,’ the Minister of Communications, wrote on domestic social networks, this is the tenth space launch in the thirteenth government, during which a new record in launch altitude was set. Emphasizing that it is the first time Iranian satellites have reached a 750-kilometer orbit, he declared that the space industry is accelerating on the path of progress.”
