More than a year after the start of “Intercity Service”, Tapsi Company has published a report on the performance of this product, along with interesting points of interest every year.
Tapsi intercity service was made available to users in Shahrivar 2022 and today it is working in 34 cities of the country. According to Iran digital economy annotation, at the beginning of its formation, this service was limited only to the areas where Tapsi was providing intra-city services, but the latest information indicates the expansion of these services to the entire country. In this way, users can use the Tapsi intercity product to travel to neighboring provinces as well as longer distances up to 500 km.
A 10-fold increase in the number of trips within a year
According to the published report, since the beginning of the formation of this product, which coincided with Arbaeen in 2022, Tapsi has experienced a 10-fold growth in the number of trips of his new product. Meanwhile, the campaign of this company to promote the intercity service started in May 2023, as a result, the sales statistics within 4 months have grown similar to 7 months before.
The most intercity movement on the Qom-Tehran route
The statistics of high-traffic intercity service routes is another part of this report. According to this information, traffic between the two cities of Tehran and Qom is at the top of the table with a long distance compared to other routes. In other words, the statistics of Qom-Tehran and Tehran-Qom routes, with a total of 26% of the volume of intercity trips, indicate the need of Qom citizens to travel more with Tehran. Also, the presence of the Mashhad-Neishabour route in the list of high-traffic routes is interesting, given that the cities of Tehran and Karaj are at least the origin or destination of all the items on the list.
Tehran, Qom and Isfahan, the most frequent destinations, the presence of Neishabur in high-traffic destinations
In the continuation of this report, Tapsi has compared the cities of the country from the point of view of origin and destination. By studying the two tables below, we can find out from which cities the most trips started and to which destinations.
How were the trips during Arbaeen?
In addition to statistical data from different cities, this report has also specially studied the behavior of users during Arbaeen (1st to 15th Shahrivar which is 23th August to 6th September). The reason for this action is the rush of travel requests to the pilgrimage borders in this period of time and the attractiveness of their popular destinations.
According to forecasts, the journey from Tehran to the western borders of the country on the occasion of Arbaeen was longer than other cities in the country. In this statistic, Karaj, Isfahan, Shiraz and Kermanshah are in the next ranks. Another interesting point in between is the attractiveness of the country’s borders or western provinces for pilgrims; Where with more delay in such trips, we see the attractiveness of the border of Mehran compared to other destinations in this era.
Most of them in the first year of the inter-city Tapsi activity
In his report, Tapsi has published statistics of travel record holders in the intercity fleet of this company, which is interesting in its own way. On the passenger side, a woman holds the record for inter-city travel with 100 trips on the Karaj-Qazvin route, and on the opposite side, a driver with 122 inter-city trips in one year has been named the most traveled ambassador of this product. In total, he was able to earn 181 million tomans. Isfahan-Tehran, Shiraz-Isfahan and Tehran-Isfahan were his favorite roads among his 17 routes.
Tapsi public relations has expressed hope that sharing such statistics, in addition to increasing people’s awareness of the volume and manner of commuting, will help decision-makers to improve intercity services and adopt infrastructure policies in the future.
