The CEO of Neobank Farda believes that we will soon see the growth of this field of banking in the country. Due to transparency, neo-banks reduce financial crimes and also lead to the development of the digital economy
According to Iran digital economy annotation, Navid Rajaiepour, the CEO of Farda Neobank, said at the specialized meeting of neobanks that was held on the sidelines of the Telecom Exhibition, that small and medium-sized businesses account for a major part of the market’s profit. But it is still not possible to open an account in neobanks for legal entities.
He added: Open banking system is now used in legal organizations. Mellat Bank and Ayandeh Bank currently have an open banking platform and serve small and large organizations. Of course, most banks have such a platform, but Bank Mellat is more advanced. Open banking is very popular because of its transparency.
Rajaiepour said: Open banking is now running, but we still cannot open multiple accounts. Currently, companies can present up to 3 people in bank branches and open an account. This action is technically very simple, but in terms of the rules, there are restrictions that will be gradually removed.
Regarding the rate of growth of neo-banks in Iran, he said: “Soon we will see the development of neo-banks in Iran and the restrictions will be removed because the activity of neo-banks is the demand of the customers and there is a high demand in Iran.” The main issue is what the customer wants. Due to the fact that the Iranian customer is aware of the modern banking services offered in the world and always wants the best and highest quality services, we will soon see the development of new banks in Iran.
Rajaiepour said: The activity of neobanks leads to the development of the digital economy. Also, because of the transparency in neobanks, violations will be reduced and ultimately lead to better pooling of resources. I hope in this area and I am sure that other banks will also join it.
