National Cyberspace Center and Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Sign MoU to Implement Cyberspace Strategic Document
The National Cyberspace Center and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to achieve the overarching goals of Iran’s strategic cyberspace document.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, this MoU, aimed at “designing and implementing major programs of Iran’s strategic cyberspace document,” focuses on topics such as “shaping the country’s intellectual property system in cyberspace” and “creating conditions to strengthen producers of high-quality content on domestic platforms.”
Both the National Cyberspace Center and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance believe that this agreement will enhance activities in this area and could result in benefits including the strengthening of Iranian-Islamic identity in cyberspace, support for domestic content creators, the creation of a secure and ethical cyberspace, and the preservation of the values of the Islamic Revolution.
Formation of a Joint Committee
To implement the provisions of this MoU, a joint committee will be formed, consisting of representatives from the Cultural, Social, and Content Affairs Department of the National Cyberspace Center and the Center for the Development of Culture and Art in Cyberspace at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. This committee will have various responsibilities, including organizing joint meetings, exchanging views on the topics of the MoU, and preparing and presenting periodic reports on the progress of collaborative efforts in executing joint programs.
