According to the IDEA, The head of Pardis Technology Park announced about Azadi Innovation Factory that after the meetings they had with the government, it was decided to extend the lease in the first stage and if conditions are met, they will buy the property from the owner in the future.
“Mehdi Safari nia”, the head of Pardis Science and Technology Park, spoke about the outskirts of Azadi Innovation Factory at the end of the annual artificial intelligence festival and capture the flag competitions. While hoping for the future of the country’s first innovation factory, he said:
“Our duty as the government is to facilitate and set rules.” As a government institution, we try to facilitate and provide a playing field for innovation activists. “Individuals, teams, companies and the private sector are the main players in the country’s technology development.”
Safari nia also continued: “Just as the playground has been provided for more than 400 companies in Pardis Park and companies have invested more than 25 billion tomans here, similar measures have been taken in Azadi and Highway Innovation Factories, which are our subsidiaries. “Our role in innovation factories is to facilitate, regulate and create a playing field for the main players in the technology field, mainly these players are accelerators.”
Reviving the innovation factory, the mission of the private and public sectors
The head of Pardis Science and Technology Park, in his speech, pointed to the efforts to preserve and continue the activity of the factory and said: “The lease contract of Azadi innovation factory, which was closed by Hamava, was five years and has expired. The owner of Azadi innovation factory is also trying to sell this property for his economic interests.
But with the negotiations we have had with the owner through the government, we have tried to solve the problems of this place. In the government, we have had nearly 20 meetings with the owner and we have reached an agreement to renew the lease in the first stage and if conditions are met, we will buy the property from the owner in the future.”
According to Safari nia, Azadi Innovation Factory’s accelerators are still the main players of this playground. About 8 accelerators and more than 2 thousand people are present in this innovation factory. These people and companies operate in various fields of technology and innovation, and Azadi Innovation Factory is one of the dynamic spaces in the country.
Campus Park’s support for innovation activists at Azadi Factory
According to the president of Pardis Science and Technology Park, accelerators play a decisive role in the future of Azadi Innovation Factory and this group will not interfere in their implementation process.
At the end of his speech, referring to Park Campus’s support for startups and teams active in the innovation ecosystem, Safari nia said: “We continue to support startup teams and accelerators. These supports are tax exemptions for accelerators, and we will even implement this tax exemption for their teams from this year. “Financial facilities are another of our support to accelerators.”
Finally, he announced the support of the Presidential Science and Technology Office in science and technology parks across the country and explained that more than 80 accelerators have benefited from the facilities of the Science Office.
