According to Iran digital economy annotation, Ahmed Osanlu, the head of the State Penitentiary Organization, said in his press conference today, addressing the Snap and Tapsi internet taxis: “If it is found that you have deliberately refused to provide services or are seeking to take people hostage, you will be dealt with decisively and I want people to contact the 135 system and file a complaint if they encounter these issues. Two branches will be established in Tehran to investigate the violations of these two companies, and any complaint in this organization regarding these two companies will be announced, an appropriate verdict will be issued.”

This issue became apparent when last week Ahmed Osanlu, the head of the government punishment organization, warned the managers of internet taxis that if they don’t remove the “I’m in a hurry” option, they will be fined and emphasized: “This is the last argument we have with them before issuing the verdict, and we hope they will correct this point.”
In today’s press conference, Osanlu said about this: “The Punishment Organization entered in line with its inherent duty, which is to fight high-selling, and caused the removal of the “I’m in a hurry” option, but if according to the reports presented, it is determined that it was removed under the pretext of This option will reduce the service or increase the price, I am seriously warning you that both of these actions are examples of violation.”
The head of the Government Punishment Organization further said: I request the support organization to enter into this issue and file a case in this regard so that we can witness the behavior of these two companies in accordance with the law. On the other hand, if the existence of problems causes these two companies to deal with this issue, we will also take care of it. The protection organization is the main custodian of protecting the rights of consumers and monitoring the correct implementation of pricing.
