According to the Iran digital economy annotation, Divar has launched a digital (video) authentication service to increase the security of user transactions and reduce fraud. With more than 53 million users, the Wall platform is one of the main platforms for online trading in Iran, and 500,000 ads are registered on this platform every day.
Increasing security and creating confidence for users during transactions has always been one of Wall’s concerns, and this new possibility has been added to this platform by using service companies outside Wall.
This service is part of the new wall solution, which is known as “next to the wall”. In this new approach, wall users can use the services of other companies and startups on this platform in the process of making a transaction to have a safer and more comfortable experience.
Previously, wall users could perform initial authentication by entering their mobile number and national code. Now with the addition of video authentication, which is similar to online authentication for opening a bank account, a seller of goods or a service provider can receive video authentication from wall partner services by sending a short video. The use of this feature is provided for users in all wall categories.
For example, in the services category, users can make sure that the person whose image is in the ad comes to their home or office to perform services by viewing the image authentication of the advertiser, such as the experience of internet taxis. Also, in the sale of goods, this new feature reduces the possibility of fraud by identifying the real identity of the advertiser.
According to the report of the wall newsroom, users will find more confidence to buy or use services with this feature, and authenticated ads will get more visits.
Users can currently use the three service providers UID, GATA and Verify (Data Era) for image authentication to improve the process of selling goods and promoting their service business.
