In this ceremony, two fifth generation (5G) communication sites of the first satellite in Safaiyeh and Hassanabad areas of Yazd were inaugurated by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology
According to Iran digital economy annotation, the ceremony of opening communication projects of Yazd province yesterday evening, Tuesday 6th of February 2024, on the occasion of the Fajr decade of the Islamic Revolution, with the presence of:
Eisa Zarepour, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, “Amir Mohammadzadeh Lajevardi”, Deputy Minister Communications and Head of Regulatory Organization and Radio Communications, “Mehran Fatemi”, Governor of Yazd, “Ali Asghar Ansari”, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Supervision of the Ministry of Communications and Executive and Secretary of the National Information Network Development Steering Council, “Reza Bagheri Asl”, Vice President of Government Affairs , the parliament and the provinces of the Ministry of Communications, “Mohammad Saleh Jokar”, the representative of the people of Yazd, Zarch and Ashkezar in the Islamic Council, Mohammad Reza Dashti Ardakani, the representative of the people of Ardakan in the Islamic Parliament, Mohammad Reza Pakdel, the director general of communications and information technology of Yazd province, and Mohammad Reza Zare, the director of the Yazd region of the telecommunications company of Iran, it was held in Yazd Governorate.
In this ceremony, two 5G communication sites of the first satellite in Safaiyeh and Hasanabad areas of Yazd were opened by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
Also, in this ceremony, 13 upgraded sites from the compulsory public service of communication and information technology (USO) were unveiled and put into operation.
Zarepour, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said in this ceremony after seeing the test result of 784 megabytes of the 5th generation mobile first internet: “Achieving these high speeds is not possible without the development of optical fiber; I am happy that today the people of Yazd can access this new technology.”
