Knowledge-based companies in Tehran receive 56% of the facilities from the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, while the share of Sistan and Baluchestan is only 0.05%
According to IDEA, Mohammad Sadegh Khayyatian, the Chairman of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, announced in a press conference that 54% of knowledge-based companies are located in Tehran, and these companies have attracted 56% of the Fund’s facilities. Isfahan with 9.2% and Khorasan Razavi with 5% are in the next rankings in terms of receiving facilities.
This is while, according to Khayyatian, 0.4% of knowledge-based companies are located in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, and they have only managed to attract 0.05% of the facilities from the Fund.
Khayyatian also spoke about the services of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, saying: With a capital of 3 Thousand Billion Toman, the Fund has allocated 42 Thousand Billion Tomans in cooperation with the banking network and the capital market, out of which 12 Thousand Billion Toman is for facilities, 12 Thousand Billion Toman for guarantees, 5 Thousand Billion Toman for investment, and 155 billion Tomans for empowerment.
According to him, 15.5 billion Tomans of these facilities have been attracted from the banking network, and the Fund has managed to attract 4 Thousand Billion Toman of capital with the help of investment companies.
Khayyatian also compared the performance of the Fund in the thirteenth and twelfth governments and said: In the thirteenth government, we provided 13,000 billion Tomans in facilities to 4,630 companies, which has grown 2.8 times compared to the twelfth government’s average. Support for the Growth Package of Knowledge-Based Products
The Chairman of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund also unveiled the Growth Package for the Production of Knowledge-Based Products and said: Today, we have announced a public call for the Growth Package for the Production of Knowledge-Based Products. We estimate that with this package and by providing financial support of 10 Thousand Billion Tomans, a 100 Thousand Billion Tomans growth in the sales of knowledge-based companies will be achieved. In this regard, we have reached agreements with 4 banks, and we have also signed memorandums of understanding with 2 banks.
Knowledge-based companies whose total sales according to their 1401 tax declaration were more than 5 billion Tomans can participate in this call under two conditions. The first condition is that they should have a comprehensive plan to increase the sales of their knowledge-based products in 1402 in such a way that their sales will at least double, and the sales of knowledge-based products of the company in 1402 will increase by 100 billion Tomans. The second condition is that the company should have a comprehensive plan to increase its official export of knowledge-based products by 30% in 1402.
Support from the Fund in this plan includes introducing companies to banks for receiving facilities in a one-year cycle up to a ceiling of 100 billion Tomans at an interest rate of 23%, without the obligation to create an average balance or block resources by companies.
In addition, companies with an appropriate credit rating can use the Fund’s credit guarantee as collateral. The Fund provides this guarantee in exchange for receiving a check from the companies.
Another form of support is introducing companies to banks to receive various types of contracts guarantees required for sales contracts, with a 50% deposit requirement from banks covered by the Fund and a 30% discount on the bank’s guarantee issuance fee.
