Instagram users and stores have preferred Yalda discounts to Black Friday discounts and have created more content for it
According to Iran digital economy annotation, Lifeweb’s findings about discounts published on Instagram on the occasion of Black Friday and Yalda night show that in the last five years, Yalda discounts have always been more than discounts on the occasion of Black Friday or Black Friday. Especially in 2021, the content of Yalda discount was double that of Black Friday this year. The number of users who gave discounts on both occasions was equal to 13.6% of all users.
According to the graph, the amount of content related to Black Friday in 2023 compared to the total content is less than 2%, and this number for the content published in connection with Yalda this year was more than 2.5%. .
This report, whose information was collected and analyzed in the time periods of seven days before Black Friday and Yalda night, shows that party-related services such as beauty services, gold and jewelry, cafe and restaurant, and nuts had the largest share of content in Yalda discounts.
Electronic appliances and home and kitchen appliances, which are categories related to the daily life of users, are also in the list of products that have had a significant contribution to discounts.
The data of this report about the content related to discounted Yalda products shows that the clothing category, with 35%, has the most content on Instagram, followed by the beauty category with 17%.
In the category of beauty, the content of products and services are divided into four categories: beauty salons (with 56 percent), cosmetics (with 38 percent), beauty procedures (with 4 percent) and tattoos (with 2 percent).
Watches and accessories, decorative accessories, bags and shoes, and kitchen appliances are other content categories that have a significant share of content in Yalda night discounts.
Although the mentioned categories have the largest share of content production, but their average likes were between 5 thousand and 32 thousand likes; Meanwhile, the content related to discounted goods and services in the category of cafe and restaurant, although it had only 2% of the total content, received an average of 75,000 likes. After that category of desserts and sweets, flowers, clothes and beauty have the highest average likes.
In the statistics of this report, another noteworthy point is the presence of fortune tellers in Yalda discount. One percent of this year’s Yalda discounts were related to fortune-telling and astrology, which, along with the content related to discounts for tattoo services, is one of the important points of the Lifeweb report.
Among the contents that had less than one percent of content, the presence of services and products such as website design, dentistry, pet shop and pharmacy, exchange and vape sales has also been significant.
By checking the average likes of each category, it is clear that the cafe and restaurant category had the highest amount of attention. On average, each post published for cafes and restaurants received 75,000 likes.
