Tapsifood , as an online food ordering platform of Golrang Industrial Group, has now started its activity in Tehran after the cities of Mashhad and Shiraz.
According to Iran digital economy aannotation, this service, which recently changed its name from “Ofood” to “Tapsifood” and entered the Tapsi superapplication , currently operates independently from the main Tapsi application in Tehran. However, according to Tapsi’s PR, the platform will soon be added to Tapsi superapp, and until then, orders will be shipped for free.
Amin Salami Pargoo, CEO of Tapsifood, announced earlier in a message on his LinkedIn that Tapsifood’s entry into the online food ordering market will create a revolution in this field and is expected to change the rules of the game.
In the past, Tapsifood’s CEO, referring to Snappfood’s 85% share, stated that the volume of the online food market in Iran is 17% (about $580M), and of this volume, about 15% is dedicated to the platforms of chain stores and local players, and 85% That is the share of the current actor in this field.
Now Tapsifood has entered the competition with well-known platforms such as Snappfood , Delino (backed by Hamkaran System) , Rubika , Zoodex , fidilio, Ofood and maybe in the future, Digikala . A competition whose result will benefit the final consumer.
It should be seen whether Tapsifood’s presence with the support of Golrang has the ability to increase the size of the online food ordering market and reduce Snappfood’s uniqueness.
