Tapsell, a key player in Iran’s digital advertising industry, plans to enter the venture capital arena by launching “Tapsell Ventures.” Sobhan Foroughi, CEO and co-founder of this company, announced this news during an interview on the “Tabaghe16” podcast.
According to Ideaagency, emphasizing Tapsell’s extensive access to marketing data, Foroughi said, “Most of the budget invested in startups is allocated to human resources and marketing. This company, relying on its exclusive data in these areas, is seeking to launch a specialized investment arm that can make investment decisions based on accurate data analysis.”
The CEO of Tapsell also announced the company’s long-term plans to enter the capital market, expand its activities in international markets, and make smarter use of artificial intelligence capabilities.
Foroughi believes that the company’s deep understanding of this space will pave the way for the formation of a powerful, data-driven investment arm.
It should be noted that the launch of Tapsell Ventures is seen as a continuation of the resurgence of Iran’s digital ecosystem and the diminishing role of traditional VCs in the face of large players with strategic perspectives; a change that could transform the growth and financing model for startups.
According to Foroughi, platforms such as Snapp and Tapsi are currently among the largest digital advertising clients in Iran. Also, the financial and money-saving sectors also have a large share in the advertising market.
