The Prime Minister of Syria, while visiting the House of Innovation and Technology of Iran, emphasized the interest of the Syrian government in expanding joint technological cooperation with Iran
According to the Iran digital economy annotation, In his visit to Iran’s House of Innovation and Technology, the Syrian Prime Minister emphasized the interest of the Syrian government in expanding joint technological cooperation with Iran and considered Syria a gateway for connecting Iran with the Arab world in the world of technology.
“Hossein Arnous”, the Prime Minister of Syria on Sunday, December 10, accompanied by “Rohullah Dehghani Firouzabadi”; Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy visited Iran’s Innovation and Technology House at the permanent location of Tehran International Exhibitions. During this visit, Arnous announced his country’s interest in establishing such a center in Syria and mutual cooperation with Iran.
Hossein Arnous stated that IHIT (Iranian Technology and Innovation House) is a small collection of the progress of Iran’s science and technology, and added: “We are proud of this level of progress in Iran and we hope that a branch of this progress will be formed in Syria as well.”
Dehghani further added: “Given the historical background and closeness of the two countries, it seems that the field of science, technology and knowledge-based economy in the current situation and its high importance is the field where we should focus on the development of joint cooperation.”
The Syrian Prime Minister further invited Dehghani to visit Syrian technologies and added: “I assure that Syria can be a place to flourish and supply knowledge-based products and services in the Arab world market. There are many research centers in Syria where we can expand the level of cooperation by synergizing research experiences, transferring scientific and research findings, and exchanging technologies.”
While expressing hope for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of technology, he continued: “In this gathering, there are businessmen and heads of various associations, including commerce, agriculture and other associations, so that they will soon transfer these technologies to Syria.”
