According to Iran digital economy annotation, after the prosecutor announced a crime against this market police for selling some goods in Digikala, Massoud Tabatabaei, the CEO of this company, was arrested and after some time was released on bail. Now the spokesman of the judiciary has explained about this case.
Masoud Satayeshi explained in a press conference regarding the announcement of the prosecution’s crime against Digikala: “On February 12 of this year, the CEO of the company in question was summoned according to legal regulations. His charge of blasphemy was clarified and a bail order was issued. Then he was released on bail.”
He continued: “The composite case is in the stage of preliminary investigation. Insulting the holy things in any society, especially the good, valuable, divine, intimate and healthy society of Islamic Iran is condemned by the members of the society. There is no one who hears such a thing and does not buy it. The sensitivity is very high because high Islamic values are important to our society. Based on the law and public demands, the judiciary is obliged to observe and protect values and pursue public demands. Those who insult the sacred things are rejected and hated by the society. You can’t joke about this. “Society itself responds by expressing hatred and disgust.”
Satayeshi also announced that the judiciary will not be complacent in this regard: “We also will not let the insulters suffer based on legal responsibility.” All members of the society, both real and legal persons, are responsible and obliged to observe high human and moral values, and the judiciary firmly does not allow the encroachment of moral and ideological sanctity, and it does not tolerate such acts and criminal acts in any way.
The spokesman of the judicial system also said: “In this case, after the investigation process, in case of conviction, the appropriate sentence will be issued and communicated through competent judicial courts.” We have to wait to see how the investigation process is and we will let you know when more information is available.”
