With Snapp scholarship; Follow your dreams!
The expansion of the culture of requesting an internet taxi on the one hand and working in the fleet of companies providing online transportation services as a part-time, temporary and emergency work has led to the emergence of new issues, capacities and challenges. One of these cases is the activity of different talents in specific time frames and according to their free time in internet taxis.
By observing and identifying these talents, Snapp intends to support them to the best of its ability. These talents, with the support and provision of the necessary facilities, can achieve great honors at the national and international level. The “Direct to Dream” plan seeks to create conditions for talented driver users to move towards their big dream as quickly as possible.
Allocation of Snapp scholarship to the discus throw champion
Hossein Rasouli, the discus throw champion of the national team, is the first Snapp scholarship talent in 2023. The winner of the Hangzhou gold medal and born in 1999, who has a long way to go for Iran’s next achievements, says about his activity in internet taxis: “When I joined the Snapp fleet, it was very difficult economically; I didn’t even have money to buy shampoo.
Unfortunately, there was no minimal support from the relevant institutions, and my coach kept reminding me to only think about the main goal, which is the gold of the Asian Games. My life conditions were such that I had no choice but to work alongside sports. “One of the most suitable options for my situation was working in the Snap fleet, which I used to dedicate my free time to.”
Rasouli, referring to the scholarship plan, continues: “Thank God at that time SNAP helped a lot to improve my economic situation. On Fridays, I worked on Snap as much as I could and this helped me to get myself to the competitions. I thank the Snap collection for this support. I was very happy when they contacted me about the scholarship, and I hope that with this plan, other sports and artistic talents can also be successful in achieving their dreams.”
Allocation of Snapp scholarship to the volleyball champion
Morteza Mohebi is another Snapp scholarship athlete in 2023. He was born in 2005 and is currently a member of Oghab Nahaja team in the first division league of the country. So far, he has won 21 provincial, regional and national medals, including the runner-up of the Premier Youth League, the championship of student competitions and the championship of the country’s youth league.
Regarding his activity in internet taxis, Mohebi says: “My activity in Snap started with the purpose of helping my father. With the more professional pursuit of sports and the rise of personal expenses, working in Snap is considered one of the few ways compatible with the conditions of an athlete. “For an athlete, nothing is more important than focusing on the sport.”
At the end of his speech, he adds: “By knowing about the Snapp scholarship, achieving my long-term dream of wearing Iran’s uniform in the 2028 American Games has become much more attainable for me than before.” It’s like for the first time in my life, I feel a little bit of economic pressure on my shoulders, and I can work with more focus to achieve my dreams.”
