In line with trade union activities and with the aim of solving the challenges of e-commerce activists in the retail sector, the Retail Tech Commission started working.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, in the first meeting of this commission, elections were held and with the votes of the members, Masoud Tabatabei, the CEO of Digikala, was elected as the president and Masoud Shahmoradi, the CEO of Khanoumi, was elected as the vice president of this commission.
The mission of the RetailTech Commission will be to increase transparency and improve the retail environment in the country, and in this commission, with a specialized look at smuggling and the supply chain of goods, in addition to developing solutions to promote transparency in the country’s economy, it will monitor the way laws are implemented and review the implementation procedures of the steps. To be effective in improving the business environment of this area.

The retailtech industry, as one of the most important sectors of e-commerce, has a special role in the development of the country’s economy and employment, with the rapid growth of online businesses and the increase in the use of new technologies in the retail sector. Tehran Electronic Commerce Association will try to play an active role by participating in the drafting of laws and monitoring the executives with a specialized approach.
