The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with institutions and organizations that have information about motor vehicles, was required to provide the possibility of online inquiry of information and records related to traded property, as well as the trading competence of individuals for private sector platforms.
According to IDEA, the members of the parliament approved the additional article 23 in the public session of this Sunday morning and after reviewing the report of the consolidation commission of the 7th development plan bill.
According to this resolution, in the implementation of the National Data and Information Management Law approved on 6/30/1401 (September 21, 2022) and in order to prevent crimes and improve the safety of motor vehicle transactions, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is obliged to cooperate with institutions and organizations that have information about motor vehicles.
Including the Police Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Statistics and Information Technology Center of the Judiciary and the country’s Property and Document Registration Organization, the possibility of online inquiry of information and records related to the property being traded, as well as the trading competence of persons subject to the consent of the parties to the transaction To provide for private sector platforms by observing confidentiality and privacy protection considerations.
In this regard, the police command of the Islamic Republic of Iran is obliged to provide the possibility of registering motor vehicle transactions before changing the license plates through the mentioned platforms.
The executive regulations of this article will be prepared by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology within three months after this law comes into force and will be approved by the Council of Ministers.
