Payment facilities to knowledge-based companies increased by 73%

During the seven months of 2023, 2172 knowledge-based companies were paid (in the form of 12,441 facilities) equivalent to 128 thousand billion Toman (more than 30 billion dollar).

According to the IDEA, examining the status of facilities granted to knowledge-based companies at the end of October 2023 shows that these facilities have increased by 73% compared to the seven months of 2022.

In October 2023, 750 knowledge-based companies were paid (in the form of 679 1 items of facilities) equivalent to 175.5 thousand billion Rials, which has increased by 106.4% compared to October 2022.

This is while the state of facilities granted to knowledge foundations during the five months of 1402 was more than 77 thousand billion tomans. A figure that has increased by 261.4 percent compared to the first five months of last year.

In the continuation of its report, this institution wrote without referring to a specific person: “It should be said that yesterday some representatives of the Islamic Council had published incorrect statistics in this connection.”

Nevertheless, although the amount of facilities granted to knowledge-based companies has increased, it seems that there is still no clear mechanism in this field. Not long ago, “Mohsen Dehnavi”, the head of the parliament’s knowledge-based economy faction, announced that the central bank and other banks were the most ineffective in the implementation of the “Knowledge-Based Production Leap” law. He claimed that banks have not cooperated to support knowledge-based production.
