The Minister of Communications considered the activities of officials in foreign social networks as a form of hypocrisy. He believes that publishing news in these spaces can become global
According to the Iran digital economy annotation, In a televised interview, the Minister of Communications criticized the officials’ use of foreign social networks and considered it a form of hypocrisy. He believes that publishing news in these networks can be transferred to foreign networks as well.
“EIsa Zarepour” emphasized his daily use of internal social networks, especially the editing application, during a conversation with the TV program First line. He said in this regard: “I answer between thirty and forty messages daily on internal social networks, but I do not use social networks that are limited like other people.”
During this program, the host of the program asked about the presence of officials in filtered social networks and considered the presence of government officials in these networks as a form of hypocrisy. While confirming his speech, the Minister of Communications added: “There is criticism that many officials are still in these networks.
We have this criticism that projects have been opened and there are capabilities in internal platforms, while previously they could say that these capabilities are not available. “Now millions of citizens are on domestic platforms and are using it.”
Of course, according to the Minister of Communications, he “tried” to have all the governments present in these local networks, but some are very active and some are not so active.
The Minister of Communications considered the internal communication platform to be a place for direct communication between the government and the people and continued in this regard: “I write on my own editorial network and I do not have an administrator. I post an article every half an hour to an hour on domestic networks, and if it is interesting, they will be quoted to foreigners. Just last week, the Minister of Defense wrote an article in an editorial; “Foreign media, quoting from this domestic social network, published his article.”
Finally, Zarepour made a passing reference to the direct communication between the government and citizens in these networks and said: “Something happened in these networks, colleagues said something else, but it has been followed up so much by the people in this space that I have people come to the place. I sent it and we found out that there really is a problem. As a result, these networks connect the government and citizens directly.”
