According to Ideaagency, Vahid Majid, the Fata Police Chief, said about recent frauds: In recent months, internet frauds have increased in covering the sale of loans and obtaining large loans on ad sites such as Divar or other loan intermediate sites. By publishing deceptive ads, profiteers claim to be able to provide heavy loans or sell government loans by receiving money as a prepayment or commission.
He emphasized that, in accordance with the laws and regulations of the banking sector, any intermediation of loans and facilities without the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran is forbidden: Banking facilities are also banned. The publication of advertisements related to this issue, even if the claim is true, is contrary to the current laws of the country and is a problem.
According to the country’s cyber police chief, cybercriminals have been abusing fake loan ads by exploiting this issue that have led to increased judicial, law enforcement and violations of citizens’ rights. All advertising services providers, including Divar and Sheypoor, are notified to immediately refrain from publishing any ads under the name of loans, facilities and the like.
He continued: During the administrative, legal and judicial follow -up, the necessary warnings have been given to the Divar‘s platform and other intermediate sites and ads to take the necessary steps to prevent these fraud. This is aimed at enhancing users’ security, reducing cybercrime and preventing financial offenses.
