An Iranian Engineer Claims that Google Lens Service, which was previously inaccessible to Iranians, is now sanctions lifted and will soon be available to all Iranians.
According to IDEA, Iman Rahmatizadeh, an Iranian engineer at Google, announced in a post on the X social network (formerly Twitter) that sanctions on Google Lens for Iranians inside the country have been lifted and will be fully accessible from Friday.
Google Lens, as a special tool for object recognition, text translation, and image-based search, utilizes artificial intelligence and was introduced in 2017.
Although this service is not filtered in Iran, due to Google’s restrictions, Iranians were unable to access it in the past. With the lifting of sanctions on Google Lens, Iranians will likely be able to use this service in Iran without the need for a VPN in the near future. With these sanctions lifted by Google, it is possible that the image search feature will also become accessible to Iranian users.
