According to Ideaagency, the members of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace agreed with the majority of votes to remove the filter of WhatsApp and Google Play platforms. Along with this decision, the members of the council also emphasized on supporting domestic platforms and emphasized the need to strengthen these platforms in order to create a healthy competitive environment in the country’s virtual space.
“Sattar Hashemi”, the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, also announced on his page on X social network that the first step has been taken to remove filtering. Hashemi announced in this post that this path continues.
