Speedtest, a monthly report on fixed and mobile internet speeds worldwide and in different countries, has published its latest report for July 2023. According to this report, mobile internet speed in Iran has decreased, while fixed internet speed has increased.
As reported by IDEA, in the Speedtest report for July 2023, the average global mobile internet speed has decreased, while fixed internet speed has become faster. The mobile internet speed has decreased from 42.92 Mbps in the previous report to 42.35 Mbps, and the fixed internet speed has increased from 81.31 Mbps to 82.56 Mbps.
The Ranking of Iran’s Internet Speed
According to the Speedtest report for July, fixed internet speed has increased in our country, while mobile internet speed has decreased. Nevertheless, the ranking of mobile internet speed has not changed, but the ranking of fixed internet speed has decreased despite the increase in speed.
According to this report, fixed internet speed in Iran has increased from 11.80 Mbps in the previous report to 12.11 Mbps. However, our country’s rank has decreased by three steps, and it now stands at 148th place.
In the mobile internet section, we are facing a decrease in speed in our country. Mobile internet speed in Iran has decreased from 34.65 Mbps in the previous report to 33.44 Mbps. Nevertheless, Iran’s rank has not changed, and our country is still ranked 67th.
Globally, Singapore offers the highest fixed internet speed to its users, which is 247.44 Mbps. Hong Kong is second with a speed of 242.99 Mbps, followed by Chile, the United Arab Emirates, and Thailand in the subsequent rankings.
In the mobile internet section, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar are ranked first and second, respectively, providing their citizens with speeds of 205.77 Mbps and 186.33 Mbps. Kuwait, Uruguay, and South Korea follow suit in the subsequent rankings.
