During the visit of a high-level delegation of 16 members of heads and professors of Pakistani universities headed by the high adviser of the Minister of Science of that country to Iran’s Innovation and Technology House (IHIT), the scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries was emphasized.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, Amir Hossein Mirabadi, the head of the international interaction center of the Presidential Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, while welcoming the Pakistani delegation, said: We consider this meeting as an opportunity to find common points and issues.
He continued: We are ready to cooperate with Pakistan. We are aware of the potentials and capacities in this country and we are eager to expand our relations with this country, and naturally, since we are hosting you here on behalf of the vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy, our focus is on scientific, technological and innovative fields. .
According to him, fields such as information and communication technology, agriculture and health can be among the fields of this cooperation.
Mirabadi stated that through knowledge-based companies, you can connect to our products in the mentioned fields, and clarified: Knowledge-based companies can introduce you to Iran’s products and achievements in various fields.
Mukhtar Ahmad , the senior advisor to the Minister of Science of Pakistan, stated that this trip is his second visit to Iran and noted: In the previous trip, I visited Pardis Technology Park and Bu-ali Hamedan University and got acquainted with the achievements of scientists and researchers of these centers, but In this trip, I am present as a representative of the Ministry of Science and I am ready to share our points of view in the field of science and technology with you.
He continued: Iran and Pakistan have similar problems and challenges, and these common issues can connect us and become the basis for mutual cooperation, and we are interested in cooperating and interacting with Iran in scientific and technological fields.
Mukhtar Ahmad stated that the sanctions have made Iran to be more successful in scientific fields, he suggested that the exchange of professors and students and negotiations on joint projects can be among the areas and options of cooperation between Iran and Pakistan and requested that the first coordination be done in Iran.
He also added: We hope that as Iran holds national pavilions in different countries, it will also include Pakistan in the program of holding these pavilions.
Quoting from the scientific deputy of the presidency, he pointed out at the end: With the cooperation of regional countries such as India and Bangladesh, we can expand cooperation and not be limited to bilateral cooperation.
