The Government Disciplinary Organization has issued a warning to internet taxis, stating that if they do not remove the “I’m in a hurry” option, they will be sealed.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, Mohammad Ali Esfanani, the spokesperson of this organization, said in his press conference: “I am in a hurry” option in internet taxis is a clear example of overcharging and overselling. This option neither brings the passenger to the destination sooner nor provides additional services to the people, so it is a violation. It’s just an option to pay more. Usually, they wait for the applicant two or three times, and finally, when he chooses the “I’m in a hurry” option, they accept the trip with a figure of about 20-30% higher.”
In this regard, he warned the internet taxis: I seriously warn that the internet taxis remove this option and do not cause problems for the people in the services they receive. If the violation of high selling is confirmed, the head of the branch has the right to order the plumber of the relevant unit.
