The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare announced a bill for insurance for Internet taxi drivers and cyberspace.
According to Ideaagency, Ahmad Meydari, the Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, said regarding the insurance of people who work in cyberspace: We are discussing a regulation in the government to have social insurance or social security insurance for those who work on internet taxis and similar businesses. This is the first time in Iran that we plan to implement this plan.
He said: “We have explored the global experiences of how we can insure this group of about several million people working in different cyberspace platforms.”
The Minister of Labor said that the suggestions we welcome the elites, academics and people with experience: People can submit their suggestions to the Ministry of Cooperatives to be reviewed, but it should be noted that this issue has not existed in Iran so far and it should be noted. Follow all aspects of the work by thoroughly examining and considering all aspects.
Meydari added: “We have started drafting the bill in this area, but it has not yet been finalized.”
