Khorasan Razavi district director of telecommunications said: National plan “Jahad Movement for the Development of Optical Fiber of Iran Telecommunications” has progressed by 32% in Khorasan Razavi and this province was one of the top provinces in the country in the implementation of this plan.
According to the IDEA, on Wednesday, in a meeting with reporters in Mashhad, Hassan Oruji added: 17.90 million dollar of credit are needed for the fiber optic development project in the province, and more than 5.82 million dollar have been spent on it so far.
He continued: 4,500 billion Rials of this credit will be invested in the development of the fiber optic network, 169 billion Rials (328,109 dollar) will be invested in upgrading the FTTC access network, and 5,000 billion Rials will be invested in the development of the Khorasan Razavi transmission network.
Khorasan Razavi District Telecommunication Manager said: In the implementation of the Najma plan in Khorasan Razavi, 91 plans have been defined for 13 cities, of which 28 plans have been implemented in Mashhad, Sabzevar, Neishabur, Torbat Heydarieh and Kashmar cities, and the rest of the plans have also been implemented. It will be put into operation until the end of September 2024.
Oruji added: In the first phase of this project, 325 kilometers of fiber optics will be dug and installed, and 448,872 subscribers will be covered, of which 136,000 subscribers will be directly connected to fiber optics.
Referring to the importance of optical fiber implementation, he added: This plan is a successful example of national planning based on assets with the aim of achieving strategic results, and the expert implementation of this plan will lead to the prosperity of the communication industry.
Khorasan District Telecommunication Manager Razavi said: “Jahad Movement for the Development of Optical Fiber of Iran Telecommunications” national project is planned in line with the fourth industrial revolution in the world and will lead to the prosperity of internet businesses and as a result economic development.
Iran Telecommunication Company, as the 8th executor of the national fiber optic network development plan, in an agreement with the Regulatory and Radio Communications Organization, has committed to cover seven million fiber optic homes and businesses by the end of 2025.
According to the population and needs of each province, this company has determined a number of optical fiber coverage for each of the country’s regional telecommunications companies, and Khorasan Razavi’s share in the first phase is 136,000 optical fibers.
