In the hot days of the year, one of the concerns of the users of internet taxis is the proper ventilation of the car and the use of air conditioners during trips. It is necessary to have proper ventilation in Snapp’s trips; For this purpose, Snapp has prioritized measures to ensure the quality of air conditioning during trips. Notification to driver users
According to Iran digital economy annotation, Snapp, at the same time as the start of the hot season, informs on the channels for driver users about the benefits of turning on the air conditioner while traveling, the solutions for the proper use of the air conditioner, and the necessity of proper ventilation during trips. The actions of this company don’t end with information and Snapp has several solutions to encourage driver users to use the air conditioner during the hot hours of the day, which we will mention below.
Special facilities and incentive plans for driver users
As the hot days approach, Snapp encourages drivers to service the car air conditioner by considering special facilities for users. In June, the Snapp drivers club implemented the ” air conditioner gas charging summer plan” for drivers all over the country. This discount was made available to driver users for a limited time through the Carfix site, so that they can enjoy Snapp’s trips on hot summer days by spending the least amount (almost 12 dollors).
Snapp also considers special incentive schemes, including discounts or exemptions from commissions, by observing driver users who care about air conditioning their cars. Currently, the drivers’ club allocates a 50% discount on the commission payment to Snapp driver users based on the number of positive comments and points received from passenger users (regarding the use of air conditioner) in the “Snapp cool travel plan”. For each trip for which the passenger registers a positive opinion of “using the air conditioner”, the commission for the same trip will be calculated as half price, and the amount deducted for the commission will be returned to the driver’s user account after the end of the project. Also, in order to get a 50% commission discount, it is necessary not to register the negative opinion of “not using the air conditioner” by passengers in normal Snapp’s trips within the time frame that the driver user has been informed about.

Survey of passengers during the trip
Since last year, the possibility of participating in a survey during the trip and expressing an opinion about the temperature inside the car has been added to Snapp’s trips. During the day, passenger users can answer the question “Is the air temperature of the car suitable?” while traveling. so that Snapp will send a push notification according to their needs to encourage the driver to turn on the air conditioner. This survey is sent to the passengers of that city at different times according to the weather of each city.
The car temperature satisfaction survey is currently enabled on Android 8.6.0 and above and the Snapp web app version. Passenger users need to update their Snapp app to use this option.
Passenger feedback at the end of the trip
Traveler users can rate their trip after the end of each trip and choose the reasons for this rating. With the start of the hot season, two options “use air conditioner” and “don’t use air conditioner” have been added to the survey at the end of the trip, and the active participation of users in this survey will help Snapp to optimize the air conditioning conditions of the car. Also, the maximum participation of passengers in the end-of-trip survey can play an important role in encouraging driver users who use air conditioner.
The requirement to turn on the air conditioner during Ecoplus trips
Due to the mandatory use of air conditioners in Ecoplus trips, in case of receiving feedback of “not using air conditioners” from the passenger user, the rules will be notified to the driver user first. If this feedback is repeated, the driver user will not be able to receive Plus trips for one week. If it happens again after reactivation, the access of the driver user to the Plus service will be cut off until the end of the summer.
Reports from passenger users help Snapp to identify driver users who do not pay attention to air conditioning during peak heat hours, encourage them to use the air conditioner in various ways, and impose restrictions on these people if they repeat it.
