Fidilio, a long-standing guide and review platform for restaurants and cafes, announced that it has officially entered the field of online food ordering.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, previously, reports were published about the online ordering of food by Fidilio, and it can also be seen on the website of this collection. But now Fidilio has officially announced that he has been working on this product in silence since a year and a half ago, and recently the beta version of online food ordering in Tehran has been prepared.
Fidilio is one of the oldest Iranian restaurant tourism sites that started its activity 15 years ago. With this history of activity and the extensive database of this platform, which stores information and reviews of almost all restaurants, cafes, and pastry shops in the city, Fidilio never showed any desire to start a profitable business in the field of food.
Fidilio has announced that it has brought more than one million users with it in these fifteen years and may be one of the last survivors of the innovation industry in this competition of the monopolistic rich of the digital ecosystem.
Apparently, Fidilio delivers the orders to the user with special couriers decorated with its own logo.
Snappfood, the online food ordering platform of the Snapp group, is the biggest player in this field, which has been operating for years without a serious competitor. Previously, there were whispers of Digikala group entering the online food ordering market, but after conducting pilot tests, Digikala apparently stopped entering this market.
Looking back, rivals such as “Reyhun” and “Chilivery” also lost the game against Snappfood (former Zoodfood). It should be seen if Fidilio, as a new competitor of Snappfood, can take a share of this market and increase the quality of service and ultimately improve the customer experience.
