Following the 13th government’s program for the National Fiber Optics project for homes and businesses and covering 20 million ports under this scheme, many companies have applied for the Unified Network and Services Provider (UNSP) license.
According to IDEA, Mobinnet has also joined the country’s fiber optics developers and committed to creating 3 million ports in 4 provinces: Mazandaran, Ardabil, Tabriz, Kurdistan, and major cities. This commitment was made in cooperation with the Communications Regulatory Authority and Radio Communications Organization.
In this regard, negotiations with municipalities have started to establish contracts. Simultaneously, Mobinnet has undertaken network design for fiber optics in cities, recruitment of design personnel, as well as execution and equipping of workshops.
Currently, negotiations with cities such as Sari and Babolsar in Mazandaran province, and Nayer and Angot in Ardabil province have been concluded, and Mobinnet has included the execution and equipping of workshops in these cities on its agenda.
Fiber Optics Commitments
In addition, negotiations in Kurdistan and East Azerbaijan provinces have also reached the final stages, and in the coming months, the expansion of the fiber optics network will begin in these provinces as well.
Mobinnet initiated the fiber optics trial process under the name FiberLink in Tehran and Shiraz provinces since Shahrivar 1400 (August-September 2021). At present, it covers more than 1,500 subscribers in over 50 residential and commercial towers and complexes.
