A member of the Presiding Board of the Iranian Parliament stated: The virtual space has targeted the faith, belief, and psychological security of society.
According to IDEA, Alireza Salimi, during today’s open session of the Iranian Parliament, mentioned: In the United States, there are 217 laws for managing the virtual space. In France, it has been approved that if someone publishes something contrary in the virtual space, they have 48 hours to rectify it. Also, in the UK, it has been passed that the government has the authority to regulate the content of the virtual space. My question is, why don’t we have at least one-tenth of the laws for managing the virtual space that exist in Western countries? This vast and unregulated virtual space has targeted the faith, belief, and psychological security of society.
Salimi, in another remark, referred to the approval of a law allocating 27 percent of tax revenues to the Ministry of Sports, stating: We haven’t received accurate reports about how these funds have been spent; they haven’t provided us with accurate reports.
This parliamentary representative also called on relevant agencies to address the raised issue regarding the accuracy of the pilot exam for the son-in-law of the former president, emphasizing the importance of reporting to the public and highlighting the importance of people’s lives.
He stressed the necessity for the Minister of Communications to explain the billions in revenue resulting from VPN (Virtual Private Network) sales.
