The 5th meeting of Tehran Electronics Association was held on November 6, 2023, with the presence of members of the association, platform managers and media members regarding “human resource migration”
According to the IDEA, at the beginning of the meeting of the Tehran Electronics Association, Nima Ghazi, a member of the board of directors of this association, said while welcoming: “The Tehran Electronic Commerce Association has been formed for about 4-5 years with the presence of large platforms in the Chamber of Commerce, and the purpose of these meetings is Creating content for publication. In this session, we will discuss the human resources migration crisis.”
Sadegh Mohammadi, the CEO of Mediana, the sponsor of this program, introduced Mediana as the next speaker and said: “Mediana has specialized in providing SMS services to 300,000 businesses for 11 years.”
After that, Emad Ghaeni, CEO of Ilia Management Consulting Company, while referring to the issue of immigration, said: “75% of people either thought about immigration or took action for it, and the reason for this is the economic and political situation of the country.” “According to the survey, paying more or the same as welfare services can reduce the number of immigration.”
Pointing to another statistic, he said: “Outside Iran, this case comes down to working in a winning company and being promoted.” In Iranian companies, 75% of leaving the company is related to relocation and 76% is related to immigration. The solution to this crisis for organizations is to keep the staff or hire more staff and use automation to replace human processes.”
He added: “Also, the expansion of businesses abroad can keep people in their own organization.”
We must recognize the migration of people
Samin Zahedani, human resources manager of Arvancloud, said: “If we look at this issue from a different angle, we must recognize the frustration of the immigrants. They were worried about their living conditions when they migrated. We don’t have success stories of people in our country or there are few, that’s why they don’t see a future. Having an academy in companies is a good thing that brings many people from different regions to the job market.”
Dr. Mirzapour, from the Data and Governance Laboratory, expressed his personal experience and explained: “I tried to immigrate 4 times, the last time I met Milad Dokhanchi in Canada, and I was invited to the Jiyogi program by chance. Broadcasting this program and the reaction of people around me brought me back to the country. Now that Iranian companies do not have the ability to compete with foreign companies in terms of payment, they can compete with them in making work meaningful.”
Fatemeh Ashrafi, the manager of Simorgh (Alibaba’s social responsibility department), introduced the new commission of the association called “Social Responsibility Commission” and explained: “The member companies of the association are active in this area and have a tangible output. With the formation of this commission, these activities are centralized and we can publish stable reports even internationally. With mutual support, we can even think of big joint projects.”
We think about the factory, not the factory people
After that, Bahram Salavati, director of the Migration Observatory, said: “We found out about this late and did not consider the time factor.” In three years, three months or three days, how many people will we have migrating? One of the problems is that in this crisis we were thinking about the industry and not the people. For example, in the issue of the innovation factory, everyone is thinking about the state of the factory, not the people of the factory.”
He continued: “While the bad news is that the migration is happening at layer G and is three layers away from business, the good news is that generation Z is entering the job market and they have good capabilities.”
He ended his speech with this sentence: “In these days when the issue of the factory is discussed, we need “factory”, “innovation” and “freedom”.
Nima Ghazi introduced the “Bazaar Monitoring Commission”, which is the new commission of the association, and then Dr. Eliasi explained: “Suppose Iran was not sanctioned and we had an international company in the country. Domestic companies did not have the ability to face and compete, and what could be done is to empower the human force. We neglected the deputy, we paid too much attention to startups and not to working knowledge. University and labor market should be connected and students should see progress. Now we have to start the construction cycle.”
Sara Samkhani, human resources manager of Agah Agency, said: “My belief is that this phenomenon is not a crisis, because it does not have the characteristics of a crisis. People who did not migrate have little possibility of promotion. This is a hands-on experience at the enterprise level. Inter-organizational exchange can help.”
Mr. Khodavardi, from the Supreme Council of Cyberspace, said at the end of the event: “We need to have some international countries in the country. Iranian people think globally and are not confined. Now we are going through the migration peak. The ecosystem has gone through great crises and it will go through this crisis as well.”
