The spokesperson of the election headquarters of the country gave explanations about the domestic messengers provided to display the advertisements of the candidates of the 12th term of the parliament.
According to the Iran digital economy annotation, the spokesperson of the country’s election headquarters announced at the meeting to review the legal process and implementation of the new election law, which was held at Tarbiat Modares University, about the provision of an advertising platform for the candidates of the 12th parliamentary term in domestic messengers.
“Mohsen Eslami”, the spokesperson of the country’s election headquarters, in line with the twelfth period of the parliamentary elections, which will be held on March 11, 2024, announced that a virtual platform has been created for the advertisements of the candidates of this period in domestic messengers.
Emphasizing on the provision of the necessary infrastructure by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Eslami added: “The Ministry of Communications has taken care in this regard and has provided the necessary infrastructure.
“Five domestic messengers, including Soroush, Ita, IGap, Yes and Gap, have also been required to create a virtual platform for the promotion of candidates in each constituency.” He announced that this action has already been taken and candidates can introduce and advertise themselves on this platform in the relevant time frame.
The spokesperson of the country’s election headquarters said about the pages dedicated to the candidates of this period by the Ministry of Interior: “Also, when the candidates introduce themselves in the 12th period of the parliamentary elections, the Ministry of the Interior is obliged to design a system where the official virtual pages of the candidates will be on that platform. can be displayed.”
