During an interview, Shahaboddin Khodabakhsh, the CEO of Cafe Bazaar, announced the number of Bazaar users between 45 and 50 million people and added that last year, Baazar was able to install 3 billion updates to its users; According to Khodabakhsh, this figure is a record for the Bazaar.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, Khodabakhsh, while pointing out that Cafe Bazaar creates more values for its users than Google Play, explained that part of this value creation is due to native content and Persian language; Because it is not easy for any developer to publish his game on Google Play; An issue that becomes more difficult and complicated with the increase of sanctions.
He considered the next value creation of Cafe Bazaar to be the absence of fake apps, especially in the banking sector, and issues related to phishing in Cafe Bazaar; A value that Google Play is unable to ensure due to lack of access to Iranian banks.
Regarding the Bazaar’s access to users’ information, Khodabakhsh stated that the level of access is at the lowest level and it is only limited to what app a user has installed or updated with which IP.
Cafe Bazaar’s four-year wait to receive a written positive vote from the Foreign Exchange Organization
In the end, the CEO of Bazaar said about the latest situation of this company in the stock exchange: “During the last three to four years, we tried to get the shareholders to exit the company through the IPO; But we did not succeed. We even received a positive vote verbally from the acceptance board of the OTC organization, and it was decided that they would announce the positive vote to us in writing; We are still waiting for them to announce.”
Regarding the reason for not announcing the positive vote in writing, he said: “Just know that even the exchange cannot easily tell us in writing why the positive vote of the admission board is not announced.”
