According to Cafe Bazaar public relations report, Shahabuddin Khodabakhsh, the CEO of this company, said about the report of the Electronic Commerce Association about the quality of the internet.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, he said: “This report indicates that Iran’s internet is of poor quality compared to other countries, or rather, it is one of the worst. We have the highest quality internets in terms of speed, interference and extensive and irregular filtering.”
He stressed about the countless consequences of this situation: “The security of users’ phones is in serious danger due to the lack of access to essential tools, services and programs that provide security and remove malicious programs such as Google Play.”
The CEO of the Bazaar stated: “The result of cutting off access to many security tools is the spread of various security vulnerabilities in users’ devices, and the increase of frauds by malicious programs, as in the past months, there have been many news of counterfeiting mobile phones and installing malware on users’ phones. It was published in Iranian and foreign media.
Khodabakhsh further added: Another important example is that a large number of domestic services, especially banking and government services, are “Iran Access”, which means that they can be accessed only with Iran’s IP address. (Probably because the authorities wanted to force users to connect with internal IP and not use VPN)
But we all know that many users use VPN. Therefore, when users search on Google, because Google cannot see these services, the position of these services is lost in SEO and profit seekers use this hole, in such a way that the site or service is phishing and in fact a fake and infected version of that service. They increase the original by using SEO techniques and in this way they commit fraud.
