Budget Bill 2024 has exempted businesses of natural persons on domestic platforms approved by the Ministry of Communications from taxation
According to the IDEA, in part of the budget bill 2024, real businesses present in domestic platforms that are approved by the Ministry of Communications will enjoy tax exemption. This part of the budget bill 2024 is also present in the budget law of this year.
It is stated in Clause K, Note 6 of this bill: “In order to support the development of the digital economy in the country and encourage internet businesses to use domestic platforms, until the end of 2023 , the income of businesses of real persons on the platform “Domestic companies approved by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, which did not have a tax file until the end of 2022 , will be subject to a zero tax rate.”
Of course, it is mentioned in a part of this year’s budget law: Failure to submit tax returns for internet businesses by the end of 1400 will not result in the exclusion of tax exemptions. This section is not seen in the 2024 budget bill.
Before this, it was November 2022 when the Ministry of Communications unveiled the government support package for digital economy businesses, in which tax incentives were considered for businesses on domestic platforms.
According to this regulation, the tax affairs organization must apply the following incentives to businesses that do not have a tax history, if they transfer their activities to eligible platforms: determination of the minimum flat tax rate for eligible businesses in a staggered manner, exemption from any fines due to non-compliance Submitting declarations and keeping relevant documents and accounting all costs of creating and developing platforms and businesses in the tax expenses department.
