The city of Abbas Abad is fully covered by Asiatech fiber optic high speed internet.
At the same time as the inauguration of the operation of the optical fiber network development project in Abbas Abad, Asiatech’s vice president of business announced the 100% coverage of Asiatech’s ultra-fast fiber optic internet services in this city.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, the fiber optic network development project of this company was held today, Sunday, 4th of February 2024, in “Abbasi” school, Abbasabad city, Mazandaran province, by measuring the speed of Asiatech’s super fast fiber optic internet (FTTX).
In this ceremony, which was held in the presence of “Mahmoud Hosseinipour”, the governor and “Ismaeel Aezi”, the director general of Mazandaran province’s communications and information technology department, “Mohammad Babaei”, Asiatech’s business vice president, based on the number of cities licensed to develop optical fiber of this company in level of Mazandaran province, said: “Asiatech’s drilling volume for the development of optical fiber network will reach 350 km at the end of the project, and today about 160 km of it has been realized.”
Asiatech’s business vice president added: “Today, 100% of Abbasabad city areas are covered by optical fiber, and all Abbasabad households can use Asiatech’s high-speed internet services.”
2,500 Mazandarani subscribers use Asiatech fiber optic internet
He continued: “Today, more than 2,500 active subscribers are using Asiatech’s ultra-fast fiber optic internet services in Mazandaran province. In addition to ultra-fast fiber optic internet (FTTX) services, Asiatech also provides its subscribers with a free Internet-based national telephone line (VoIP) along with free credit of 2$.
In another part of the ceremony, the director general of Mazandaran province’s communications and information technology department said: “Asiatech operator, as the provincial executor of this project, has completed the implementation of the optical fiber network (FTTX) and the access of about 9,656 The household of this city has provided businesses and educational and administrative centers with a safe, stable and high-speed fiber optic network.
He continued: “This project was implemented in the city of Abbas Abad with a credit amounting to 3.5 Million dollar, and all the houses and businesses of this city were connected to the high-speed optical fiber network.”
The governor of Mazandaran also pointed out that the optical fiber network should be developed in rural areas as well, stating: “So far, 8.5 Million dollar have been invested for the expansion of the optical fiber network in Abbas Abad city in the west of the province.”
Asiatech fiber optic activity in eight provinces of Iran
At the same time, Asiatech is implementing the optical fiber development project and facilitating the access of households and businesses to FTTx-based ultra-fast internet in eight provinces of Semnan, Kermanshah, Zanjan, Lorestan, Fars, Isfahan, Chaharmahal Bakhtiari and Tehran.
Earlier, Mohammad Ali Yousefizadeh, CEO of Asiatech, announced: “The first operational operation of the Asiatec optical fiber project started in October 2022 in Chalus city of Mazandan province. Although our commitment according to the issued license is about one million five hundred thousand households, but our estimate is that we can provide access to optical fiber for four million households by the end of 2025.
