With the aim of expanding its business and expanding its market share, Asiatech acquired Laser with a valuation of about $1.5M. This transaction was carried out based on the report of the official judicial expert and Asiatech has taken ownership of 100% of the shares of Laser Company.
According to Ideaagency, in the letter of Asiatech’s CEO to the stock exchange organization, it is stated that 100% of the shares of Laser Company have been purchased according to the report of the official judicial expert at a value of about $1.5M. However, the official court report is limited to an assessment of Laser’s tangible and intangible IT assets, which are valued at a total of $1,564,521.
Laser, which started operating in the field of technology since 1970, is considered one of the oldest active companies in Iran’s communication industry. According to the judicial report, this company had an income equal to $1.1M in the first nine months of 2024, and in 1402, its annual income was about $1.2M.
The major part of Laser’s income is provided by providing data center and broadband services. Despite its small share in the ADSL market, this company is in a better position in the field of enterprise services and private networks and offers services such as VPN and MPLS. Laser also operates in the data center sector, although in this field it is also a small competitor alongside larger companies.
This company established its telecommunication and network division in 2001 and acted as the contractor for the installation and commissioning of the BTS sites of the Hamrah-e-Avval mobile project. In 2003, it managed to get a PAP license from the Regulatory Organization, and in 2006, it added WIMAX service to its product portfolio, and finally, in 2016, it got an FCP license.
It is recalled that in January of this year, Hamrah-e-Avval bought the main shareholder of Asiatech.
