The Board of Directors of Irancell Communication Services Company appointed “Alireza Rafiei” as the new CEO of Irancell during a meeting this morning (Sunday, January 19, 2025).
According to Ideaagency, according to Irancell’s public relations report, in this meeting, Saeed Bigdeli was replaced by Rafiei as a new member of Irancell’s board of directors.
Rafiei is a master’s graduate in electrical and telecommunication engineering from Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology. Previously, he was a member of the board of directors and the chief manager of the western region of Irancell.
“Bijan Abbasiarand”, the previous CEO of Irancell, held this position since February 20, 2019.
The commercial launch of the fifth generation of mobile phones (5G) for the first time in Iran, the development of high-speed fiber optic internet (FTTx) and the development of access to the Internet network in villages with more than 20 households are among the most important actions of Abbasiarand as the CEO of Irancell.
Also, in this morning’s meeting of the Council of Vice-Presidents of Irancell Company, in the presence of the board members, the efforts of Bijan AbbasiArand during the 6 years of Irancell management were appreciated.
