In line with the challenge between the social security organization and digital health platforms, a meeting was held between their representatives and the parties reached an agreement.

“Mehdi Khodadadi”, the head of the Digital Health Commission of the Computer Trade Union Organization, mentioned the recent challenge for startups to hold a meeting with the presence of representatives of the platforms and the Social Security Organization, and said that the parties agreed on several issues:
Digital health platforms are obliged to fully comply with the principles of confidentiality of patient information.
According to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health, all the requirements listed in the Ministry’s license number 1423576 must be followed by the health platforms and the sampling must be done under the supervision of accredited laboratories.
Digital health platforms should provide a suitable platform for effective communication between the patient and the laboratories.
The method of authentication of patients should be done correctly and based on the standards of the reference laboratory by the laboratory sampler.
The National Center for Improving the Business Environment of the Ministry of Economy and Finance should announce a specific time for the activation of the license number 1423576 of the Ministry of Health.
After publishing license 1423576, the Statistics and Information Technology Center of the Ministry of Health must officially announce the standards included in the license to the Social Security Organization.
According to him, this meeting was attended by representatives of the Social Security Organization, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the National Center for Cyberspace, the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, the Presidential Vice President for Science and Technology, the National Center for Improving the Business Environment of the Ministry of Economy, and representatives of platforms active in This area was held.
Khodadadi stated that they are trying to advance the issues raised in this meeting in the best way so that they do not face similar problems in the future: “We emphasized from the beginning that the regulatory challenges and concerns of the public sector will be resolved with the help of meetings, brainstorming and expert discussions with The private sector will rise and we are very happy that the respected social security organization joined us in this direction.”
He mentioned that digital health industry activists have repeatedly mentioned the importance of health platforms trying to reduce diagnosis and treatment costs with the help of technology.
According to Khodadadi, digital health can work for the benefit of both patients and the government and insurance organizations by creating a more efficient and less expensive system by improving access, reducing unnecessary costs and increasing the efficiency of treatment systems: “Cooperation between government institutions and businesses Being active in the field of digital health will lead to an efficient, modern and sustainable structure, the output of which is to improve the quality of life of all members of the society and reduce the pressure on the resources of the health system.
In the middle of August of this year, the social security organization of Tehran province, by sending an SMS to the founders of the paraclinical service centers that have a contract with this organization, announced that any provision of electronic prescription services provided by digital health platforms, including visits, paraclinics, pharmacies, etc., is under the obligation of the social security organization. It has not been and cannot be paid.
