According to Iran digital economy annotation, Mahmoud Liaei, the CEO of the National Post Company, at the unveiling ceremony of the company’s comprehensive systems, said about the efforts to maintain the security of the information network of its users:
“No device and organization is immune from cyber attacks, so we must be vigilant and not neglect for a moment. . “The strictures imposed by the General Directorate of Hardware and Network Security, although it is troublesome, it makes our work easier in many ways, so that if there is an attack, we have taken the necessary security measures in advance.”
Liaei continued to talk about the importance of information technology in Post Company and added: “In this company, in order to give importance to the issue of information and communication technology, we have formed the deputy of information technology, which works with all its might in this field.”
The CEO of Post Company considered the company’s human resources to be “rare and expensive”:
“During the Corona period, we saw a heavy migration abroad in the field of information technology. In the National Post Company, a number of people stopped their cooperation and either migrated, or worked in private companies in their specialized field. This is a matter of opportunity because we have people we can count on for heavy projects in the future. On the other hand, it is a threat because we easily lose the human resources that we have worked hard for and who have been trained for years, and it is difficult to fill their vacancies.”
Liaei expressed his hope that in the future, with the help of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the motivation of manpower to stay in the post company will increase.
He also considered the goal of the post company to move towards selling data instead of selling traffic and added: “Some of these data are for the post company itself, and we have no concerns about the private sector accessing them.” We also have data in the Post Company’s Electronic Service Portal (GNAF) that no government or private entity has access to and we are the custodians of it, which can also provide a rich source of income for the Post Company in the future.”
