“sansevieria” and “Cactus”; flowers and plants around us at home or at work lower the level of stress hormones in our body.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, a look at the Divar’s statistics on the purchase and sale of home flowers shows that in the first 9 months of this year, cactus, sansevieria and zamiifolia were the most searched flowers by users.
“sansevieria” and “Cactus” are the names that have been advertised on the Divar more than other flowers in the first 9 months of this year and have had more requests. On the other hand, the people of Chaboksar in Gilan province have published flower and plant advertisements more than other cities in the country, and the residents of Mahalat in the central province have been more serious customers for flower and plant advertisements.
It may be hard to believe that home flowers can help patients heal faster. In a report of scientific research on the properties of living next to flowers and plants, Time magazine says that patients who are exposed to flowers and plants need less painkillers. Flowers and plants that are around us at home or at work lower the amount of stress hormone (cortisol) in our body and reduce anxiety.
For this reason, in many countries, the 10th day of January has been named “House Flowers Appreciation Day” in many countries. On this occasion, we have gone to the data of the Divar platform to get to know the mood of the market of these flowers and plants in the first 9 months of this year.
13 well-known publicists
The names of 13 famous flowers are the most frequent names that the users of Divar’s florists have given in the title or text of their ads in the first 9 months of this year. Among these flowers, “sansevieria” (with 19%) is at the top of the list. After that, “Cactus” and “Potus” are in the second and third places, respectively. “Rose” and “Bamboo” are the least advertised.
Lovely cacti
According to the Divar news room, the users of the Divar have searched more than 18 million times for words and phrases related to home flowers in these 9 months. 60% of these searches are related to types of flowers and plants, of course, of the “natural” type. 24 percent are related to different types of vases and vase stands (or bases).
However, not all users wanted natural flowers; In 7% of these searches, users were looking for artificial flowers to decorate the interior spaces of their lives or work. 9% of the rest of the searches were related to all kinds of flower gardening services, flower growing and maintenance supplies, poisons and fertilizers, as well as soil.
All in all, among all these searches, the names of 26 flowers are very frequent, and among these 26 names, the same two popular flowers are at the top of the list. Only with the difference that here “Cactus” is more popular (with 15%) and “sansevieria” is in the second place.
Interestingly, “Zamiifolia”, which was the 10th most advertised flower, ranks third in the search list. Of course, in the search bar of the Divar, most users entered the name of this flower with the spelling “zamophilia”, as they usually spell it in Farsi!
Why are “sansevieria” and “Cactus” so popular? Apparently for two simple reasons. One is that different types of these flowers are usually reasonably priced compared to other apartment flowers. Another thing is that they have simple maintenance conditions because they are resistant and their ability to adapt to the environment is high and they reproduce easily.
The most flowery of Iran
The people of Chaboksar (in Gilan province) should be considered the best flower sellers in Iran. The users of this city compared to their population have published more flower and plant ads than other cities in the country. After them are the residents of Golbahar (in Razavi Khorasan province) and Kuchsefhan (again in Gilan province).
On the other hand, the users of Mahalat (in the central province) have been the most flower-loving in Iran. Residents of the neighborhoods have contacted each flower and plant advertisement in their city on average 13 times, more than 4 times the average of the whole country. After them are the residents of Jiroft (in Kerman province with an average of 12 times) and Minab (in Hormozgan province with an average of 9 times).
A flower market as wide as Iran
The Divar platform in the “natural flower and plant” subcategory as well as “gardening and arboriculture services” has provided its users with the possibility to easily provide their products or services to others or buy them if needed, from selling one or two From a small home pot to building and equipping large industrial greenhouses. According to Divar statistics, users of almost all Iranian cities who are active in this application, publish ads in these two subcategories or buy from their ads.
In the meantime, the Divar has even become the basis for the creation of home businesses that have turned to flower production and cultivation with the support of online sales. Businesses run by rural women. You can read the story of Mrs. Rahmati, the owner of one of these businesses, in this report.
